Matcha Houjicha Powder

Add 1 gram (about ½ teaspoon) of matcha to a bowl or cup. Pour in 60–80 ml of hot water (not boiling, ideally 75–80 °C). Whisk briskly in a zig-zag motion until smooth and lightly frothy.

For a matcha latte, whisk the matcha with a small amount of water first, then add your preferred warm milk and sweetener if desired.

Enjoy immediately for the best flavour and aroma. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
