Advanced DHA is the cornerstone of optimal brain and nerve health, delivering the essential Omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA that are vital for brain development and function at every stage of life. Approximately 60 percent of a healthy brain is composed of fat, with DHA accounting for more than 90 percent of the brain’s fatty acids. The brain’s frontal and prefrontal lobes, which are crucial for learning, problem-solving, focus, and maintaining a positive mood, rely heavily on DHA.
Despite its importance, the average daily intake of DHA and EPA in U.S. adults is only 90 mg, and even lower at 40 mg in children and teenagers, far below the minimum 500 mg daily that most researchers recommend. Since the body produces very little DHA or EPA naturally, it is essential to obtain these fatty acids through diet or supplementation.
Thorne’s Advanced DHA provides 650 mg of DHA and 200 mg of EPA, making it a convenient and effective choice for maintaining cognitive health as the brain ages- helping you stay sharp, focused, and mentally resilient. It’s also ideal for those looking to support their brain, nerves, vision, cardiovascular health, and overall wellbeing.
Unlike many other fish oil supplements, Thorne's Advanced DHA includes natural preservatives like rosemary, mint, and mixed tocopherols, which not only enhance freshness but also help reduce the occurrence of fish burps, making it gentle on the stomach. The easy-to-take gelcaps are smaller than most omega-3 supplements, making them convenient and user-friendly. Additionally, the DHA in this supplement is provided in triglyceride form, which is how DHA is naturally found in the body, ensuring superior absorption and efficacy. Thorne goes the extra mile in quality assurance by testing the supplement for more than 250 environmental contaminants, including heavy metals, pesticides, dioxins, and PCBs, ensuring that you're getting the purest, safest product possible for your health.
Thorne sets the standard for excellence in the supplement industry. Recommended by over 100 professional sports teams and U.S. National Teams, Thorne offers a curated bundle of clean, science-backed supplements and treats designed to fuel your body naturally and effectively. With more than 30 years of dedication to quality, Thorne's commitment to purity and potency begins with sustainably sourced ingredients and rigorous testing. Every supplement undergoes four rounds of testing to ensure optimal absorption, safety, and efficacy, making Thorne the trusted choice for both health-conscious individuals and professionals.
