Day Shield is an ultra-light SPF 30 gel cream designed as the foundation of level I in the Dr. Liv Method. The formula provides daily UVA and UVB protection while supporting skin comfort, balance, and resilience as part of a structured skin-training routine.

It contains broad-spectrum UV filters to protect against sunburn and UVA-related skin damage linked to collagen loss, redness, and pigmentation. With added niacinamide and antioxidants, the formula supports defence against free radicals and environmental stressors such as pollution. This combination helps protect the skin throughout daily exposure.

The formulation also includes panthenol to support soothing and barrier comfort, alongside alpha-glucan oligosaccharide to support a healthy skin microbiome. Hyaluronic acid forms the lightweight base, allowing the gel cream to spread evenly without leaving a white cast. Designed to suit all skin tones, including acne-prone and sensitive skin, Day Shield delivers daily protection in a breathable, invisible finish without hormone-active or coral-harming filters.

The Day Shield is an essential part of LEVEL I in the Dr. Liv Method – without this step, it’s like training without safety instructions.

1. Wash your Hands: It's crucial to always wash your hands to avoid transfer of bacteria to your face.

2. Wash your face: Start your day by washing your face with the Dr. Liv cleanser. AHA and BHA contained in the Dr. Liv Smoothing Cleanser boost your cell turnover in addition to cleansing the face.

3. Apply the DAY SHIELD: To sufficiently cover your face and neck area, apply the Day Shield on the entire length of your index and middle finger. Spread evenly on your face, ears and neck and the back of the hands. Please remember to shake the Day Shield before usage.
