DS-01® Daily Synbiotic combines twenty-four bacterial strains with a non-fermenting prebiotic in a dual-capsule system designed for targeted delivery. Each serving provides 53.6 billion AFU in a temperature-stable capsule. The strains and prebiotic have been selected for their roles in natural microbial diversity and their presence across the gut, skin, and other areas of the body’s ecosystem. DS-01® is designed to deliver a broad synbiotic formulation rather than focusing on a single site of action.

The proprietary ViaCap® technology is engineered to help shield the bacteria as they pass through stomach acid, digestive enzymes, and bile. The outer capsule releases the prebiotic in the upper GI tract, while the inner capsule is designed to transport the live strains to the colon.

Seed’s DS-01® is a 2-in-1 synbiotic that brings together 24 well-characterised bacterial strains with a patented, non-fermenting prebiotic. Each strain is genomically confirmed and produced using tightly controlled biofermentation methods, helping ensure consistency and quality from batch to batch. The finished product is also stability-tested so the bacterial strains remain intact throughout its stated shelf life—even during transport.

To measure the live and intact cells in DS-01®, Seed uses flow cytometry, which provides a detailed count known as Active Fluorescent Units (AFUs). This offers a broader picture of functional cells than traditional CFU measurements. The formulation is also evaluated using SHIME® digestion modelling, a laboratory system that mimics the conditions of the gastrointestinal environment, allowing Seed to observe how the capsule and its contents behave under these simulated conditions. Take 1 capsule daily for the first three days.

On day four (or when you’re ready), increase to the full dose of 2 capsules at once, daily. Ideally, take both capsules on an empty stomach or at least 10 minutes prior to a meal.

Just as with any new diet, product, or change, you may experience a temporary acclimation period—some gastrointestinal discomfort, abdominal tightness, mild nausea, or changes in your stool. This can be very normal. In fact, an immediate physiological reaction is a sign that our probiotics are viable and attuning to your system. Any discomfort should subside within the first few weeks of consistent use.

If the discomfort does not subside, you may try experimenting with your DS-01® use. Try taking the capsules with food or one capsule in the morning and one in the evening.
