How to use: Fill your bottle up to the fill line (with fresh, clean water only) and attach to the machine. The lever is where the magic starts and ends, both carbonating your water and releasing pressure from the bottle. Push and hold until you hear a buzz, then release and unscrew the bottle from the machine. Enjoy your endless supply of sparkling beverages!

This carbonator not only looks good, it also works great. We have had one for about 3 years and our son kept hinting that he wanted one after he graduated from college last year. He specifically mentioned that he liked the flat black model. We finally caved and bought him one along with some pretty big ticket items for Christmas this year. He texted me when he got home that night after our Christmas celebration to tell me that he had already taken it out of the box, set it up and was drinking a tall glass of sparkling water. The Best Carbonator

Replaced a "Soda Stream" unit. I liked the looks of this, as well as the quality of the material. Uses a lot less CO2 than the Soda Stream unit, and seems to carbonate a lot more than the other unit. No problems with usage; just be sure that you don't fill the bottle(s) above the fill line, read the instructions, and note that the lever has two positions. The instructions explain very clearly how to charge gas into the bottle without wasting your CO2. As a bonus, you can use your old Soda Stream bottles as well with the AARKE carbonator, and highly recommend it. As a side note, it's about an inch or so shorter than the Soda Stream, so it easily fits on the counter under the overhead cabinets.

if you like sodastream, this thing will change your life

seriously. this thing is amazing. there are some nerdy reasons why but basically it is made better than a sodastream so it works better and is easier to use. because of this, you also waste much less gas. if you use a sodastream at least once a day, this is a very very worthy upgrade. we drink 1-3 bottles of bubbly water (no flavor) a day and this machine is a game changer. much bubblier water, longer lasting canisters, and it is just plain beautiful. best purchase ever. my favorite item in the house.

Love the look of this carbonator on my counter

Although this Aarke carbonator is pricey compared to the Sodastream models, it is so much nicer! It is extremely well made, sturdy and a bit heavy so it doesn't slide around on the counter, and it looks great, kind of retro looking. It does make a bit of noise when you use it, but it's only for a few seconds so not a big deal. It carbonates a lot more than the Sodastream it replaced. One other bonus for me which may not matter to some people, is it fits under my cabinets even when it's in use. My old Sodastream fit there also, but had to be pulled out every time I used it because the button was on the top. The Aarke has the lever in front that you push down. Beautiful design. Well worth the extra money.

SodaStream, but better

If you love SodaStream, but are frustrated by the (lack of) hardware quality, this is your solution. It's a SodaStream compatible built with quality materials and workmanship. Additionally, excess pressure is automatically relieved at the end of each carbonation insertion (each lever press), so there's no issue as with other SodaStream hardware, where you're manually releasing the pressure as you unscrew your carbonated beverage.
