Why Baja Gold Salt Co. is Healf
Baja Gold’s sea salt stands out due to its natural harvesting methods and geological origin, earning it the reputation as "the world’s healthiest sea salt." Unlike many refined salts, it retains its natural mineral profile, containing 75-80% sodium chloride and a rich array of essential minerals and trace elements. While many table and gourmet salts undergo heavy processing and may include additives such as aluminium oxide, Baja Gold is solar-dehydrated and unrefined, preserving its natural balance of potassium, magnesium, and calcium. Regular third-party laboratory testing ensures that Baja Gold maintains consistent sodium and mineral levels, making it a superior choice for those seeking pure, mineral-rich sea salt.
Baja Gold Sea Salt traces its roots to Dr. Maynard Murray's groundbreaking work with Sea-90 Ocean Minerals, which he identified as a powerful soil remineraliser. Dr. Murray aimed to enhance the nutrient density of food by incorporating nature’s full spectrum of minerals and trace elements. Building on this mission, Baja Gold Sea Salt was developed to offer a healthier, more mineral-rich sea salt that embodies Dr. Murray’s principles. Founded by Robert Cain in 2013, Baja Gold was created in response to requests for a more kitchen-friendly alternative to bulk Sea-90. Today, the Baja Gold Salt Co. team is dedicated to honouring both Dr. Murray’s legacy and Robert Cain’s work by expanding the knowledge and availability of this truly unrefined sea salt.
With our Healf Curation Process, we do the work for you. Shop with confidence knowing that every item has been tried, tested, and curated for you.

Ingredients
100% Unrefined Sea Salt (Solar Dehydrated)
Suggested use
Upgrade your seasoning with Baja Gold—an easy swap for standard table or refined sea salt. Use it in any recipe that calls for salt.
Because it’s naturally harvested, a touch of moisture may remain, which can affect flow in shakers. If needed, simply season by hand.
STORAGE:
If you choose to decant your Baja Gold, store it in a glass, wooden, or plastic airtight container. Avoid metal containers and keep in a stable, dry environment. A salt cellar on your stovetop or kitchen table works perfectly.
