Hydration Vaccine is a balm-based hydration system developed to manage moisture levels rather than function as a conventional moisturiser. The formula takes a dual approach by supporting the skin’s ability to generate hydration while helping preserve existing moisture within the skin.

It contains hyaluronic acid precursors that support the skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid and natural moisturising factors. This internal hydration support works alongside a flexo-silicone mesh, created through a reaction of silicone molecules, which forms a protective yet permeable layer on the skin. This mesh helps seal in moisture while maintaining a lightweight, breathable feel.

The formulation includes Pseudoalteromonas ferment extract to support increased moisture levels. With added Adansonia digitata fruit extract, the skin benefits from a smoothing and radiant effect that supports the appearance of surface hydration. It also includes Leontopodium alpinum callus culture extract to support skin firmness and smoothness. A blend of Polypodium vulgare rhizome extract, Cetraria islandica thallus extract, and Sphagnum magellanicum extract supplements the upper skin layers with components of natural moisturising factors, supporting sustained hydration.

With a pH range of 5.0–6.0, this alcohol-free balm suits all skin types and aligns with vegan and cruelty-free standards.

Hydration Vaccine takes an intelligent approach to skin hydration by focusing on minimising transepidermal water loss rather than simply adding moisture. TEWL describes how water escapes from the skin’s surface, gradually weakening hydration levels, skin integrity, and overall appearance. Apply a small amount of Hydration Vaccine over an entire, cleansed face in the morning and evening.

After applying serums (ideally NIOD CAIS3 and MMHC2), gently massage Hydration Vaccine into the skin before using any other creams or sunscreen formulations. This ensures optimal moisture retention and creates a smooth canvas for makeup, helping to achieve an even finish.
