Ceremonial Grade Saekeri Matcha - Tin is a single-cultivar matcha made exclusively from the Saekari cultivar. It comes from the first harvest in Yame, Fukuoka, Japan, and it undergoes stone-milling in small batches.
It contains a layered flavour profile that opens with floral notes on the nose, then moves into soft toasty notes with a gentle nutty sweetness. The flavour focuses on nuance rather than bold intensity, which suits simpler preparation and slower moments.
It works best whisked with water, keeping the experience clean and focused on flavour exploration. Single-cultivar matcha allows the characteristics of the tea plant to stand out, and Saekari offers an elegant, rounded flavour with depth and without bitterness.
JENKI challenges coffee culture with a cleaner alternative—matcha. Claudia and Otto Boyer founded the brand in 2020, naming it after genki (元気), the Japanese word for life force. Stone-milled in small batches and sourced from Yame, Fukuoka.
Add 2-3g (1 JENKI teaspoon) of Saekari Matcha to a bowl.
Add a splash of warm water and whisk until smooth and frothy.
Top with your choice of hot or cold water.
(We recommend enjoying Saekari without milk to fully appreciate its flavour.)
