Emulait, founded by Shilo Ben Zeev in 2019, was born from a desire to revolutionise the baby bottle industry after witnessing the challenges of their family’s feeding journey. With a background in medtech, Shilo combined advanced technology and science along with a team of experts to create the world’s first biomimetic baby bottle.
With a highly qualified Scientific Advisory Board and R&D team, the brand reimagined bottle feeding from the ground up. Built on four decades of research by Dr. Mike Woolridge, the brand developed a biomimetic bottle that closely mimics breastfeeding, making the transition from breast to bottle easier. Led by global public health expert Professor Judith Shamian, the Scientific Advisory Board ensures every decision is backed by evidence-based best practices. Under the guidance of veteran designer Bob Worrell, the engineering team explored the latest materials and technology to bring the SAB’s recommendations to life. The bottle is built around a soft nipple and a Responsive Flow Valve that takes its cues from the baby. As a baby suckles more vigorously, more milk is released; a lighter suckle slows the flow, echoing the natural pace of breastfeeding. The Emulait bottle must always be used with the Responsive Flow Valve inserted in the nipple. To clean, fully disassemble all parts and wash in hot water with dish soap, then rinse and dry thoroughly so every cavity is clean. Invert the nipple to clean inside it.
