A Balance Phone is a calmer kind of smartphone, designed to keep the tools you need and remove the distractions you don’t. Built on Samsung devices with Balance OS, it blocks addictive apps and websites like social media, games, gambling, pornography, streaming and entertainment, while keeping essentials such as messaging, maps, music, banking, health, shopping and work tools fully available.
Its simple, low-noise interface helps protect your focus, time and mental space, without relying on willpower alone. Because Balance OS cannot be easily removed by the user, it creates healthier digital boundaries by design.
Balance blocks the apps and websites designed to pull you into distraction, including social media, gaming, gambling, streaming, adult content, dating and similar categories. It works at system level, using clear content rules to limit access to explicit, addictive or harmful experiences before they become a daily decision. Everything outside those blocked categories remains available as normal through the Play Store, Chrome or Ecosia.
To set up your Balance Phone, complete Samsung’s standard setup first: choose your language, connect to Wi-Fi and accept the terms. Balance OS will then install automatically, which may take up to 10 minutes. Once it opens, sign in with the phone user’s email and grant the required notification and accessibility permissions.
