The Maurten Bicarb System transforms how athletes harness bicarbonate to combat muscle acidity during all-out, intense exercise. To be taken 1.5-2 hours before activity, this system is designed for high-intensity sports and uses Hydrogel Technology to deliver sodium bicarbonate in a potent and easily digestible form.
Lactate, a natural by-product of intense exercise, raises muscle acidity, which can lead to fatigue and decreased performance. While large doses of sodium bicarbonate can neutralise this acidity, they often cause stomach issues. The Maurten Bicarb System tackles this by encapsulating the bicarbonate in a hydrogel, enabling athletes to take high doses without gastrointestinal discomfort. This formula ensures a smoother, more effective bicarb experience, helping you maximise performance and push your limits.

Component A– Mixing Bowl:
The mixing bowl is designed for accurate and optimal preparation of the Bicarb System. With clear instructions printed on it, the bowl is easy to use and perfect for on-the-go athletes, thanks to its screw-top lid for secure storage.
Component B– Hydrogel:
This component uses advanced Hydrogel Technology to encapsulate sodium bicarbonate, protecting it from stomach acid. It also includes 40g of carbs per serving, helping athletes pre-fuel their workout or race while ensuring smooth digestion and reducing the risk of stomach issues.
Component C– Bicarbonate:
These mini bicarbonate component offer controlled and extended release in the intestine, helping to neutralise muscle acidity over a longer period. Bicarb Digital System:

Note: The Maurten Bicarb System comes in different serving sizes: 12, 15, 19, 22, and 25. The right amount depends on your weight and experience with bicarbonate. In general, the higher the weight, the bigger the serving size. However, more isn’t always better for those new to bicarbonate; it's important to gradually build tolerance.

Next working day
For when you need our products urgently, we offer next working day shipping for £5.99. For orders placed before 12.00, we will ship it the same day to ensure you receive your order the next working day.
International
International deliveries can take 7 working days, and up to 4 weeks. The cost is £22.99 for orders below £50, £49.95 for orders above.
Returns
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, we provide free 365-day UK returns for all our customers. To initiate your return, simply contact us at team@healf.com, and we'll send you a return slip and help arrange a collection. The item you return must be sent in the same condition as received and inside the original packaging. Once received, we will notify you via email.
For international returns, we unfortunately do not cover the cost. However, we work with an array of carriers and can offer self-posting returns for customers shopping from outside the UK.
The Maurten Bicarb System consists of three components — the bowl (A), the hydrogel (B) and the bicarbonate (C). Open the bowl (A) and fill to the line with 200ml of water. Pour in the hydrogel (B), replace the lid, and shake vigorously to mix. Leave for 5 minutes. Open the bowl and pour in the bicarbonate (C). Gently mix with a spoon until evenly distributed through the hydrogel. Consume immediately. Do not chew the mini tablets.
Always prepare and consume the Maurten Bicarb System at least 1.5-2 hours before intense exercise and at least an hour after a proper meal, such as breakfast. This is to allow enough time for the mini bicarbonate tablets to reach the intestine and be absorbed.
